So I found this contest today and decided that I have to enter, because I would love, love, love a new camera. So bear with me as I tell you a little story!

I am the youngest of five girls in my family. My youngest sister is nine years older than me so I was blessed with many nephews and nieces over the years. By the time I decided to start a family I was well aware of the messes that come along with children. However, I don't think I understood the full extent of it all. It's been one mess after another. Don't get me wrong, I adore my child and his messes are bearable mostly because I love my little guy so much but kids are gross. If he's not peeing in the bathtub, he's pooping in the pool. I have found a whole chewed (but uneaten) meal in my couch cushions and I have little fingerprints on every single appliance I own. However, my favorite "messy moment" has to be the instance my teenage niece decided that she was going to chat with me while I changed my new son's diaper. She stood by the door while I peeled off the dirty diaper, we carried on our conversation, when out of no where a stream of water came shooting out in her direction. She quickly dodged out of the way, and fell to her knees, laughing in disbelief. Being a first time Mom, I was in shock, in the meer fact that it could shoot that far. I stood there stunned for a moment and then I quickly tried covering up the hose, which just ended up making a puddle and wasting a clean diaper...ugh, way to go. I stood there for a moment contemplating my next move when I realized that not only did this little guy manage to soak everything in a five foot radius, he also managed to squeeze out a number two. Oh boy, what a mess. The look on my neices' face was priceless. I'm pretty sure that she'll think twice before babysitting any newborns anytime soon!
