It was a beautiful weekend for shooting. At one point I felt like we were chasing tornadoes; the way we were speeding down gravel roads and turning around to just get the sun at the right angle. Most of the photos we took were right down the road from my house. I am always eye-ing up areas that I would like to shoot locally and I'm so happy I finally got the chance to stop and get the shots.
We also visited Port Washington's Maritime Festival and took some photos out there by the church and ships. As I was walking to get a shot of an incoming ship, I couldn't help but hear the sweet sound of a flute from near by. To my left I saw this gentleman quietly resting in the the shade of a tree. His name was Michael and he was kind enough to let me take his photo. It was a beautiful day and Michael had the right idea resting in the shade watching all the action.
Ben and I didn't stay too long in Port, we're both not fond of crowds (must run in the family!) We headed back to my house and after a delicious dinner courtesy of my wonderful husband, headed out to get the evening light. I finally got a photo of this tree I've been wanting to shoot and I think I may need to order a canvas of this print. Speaking of canvases, after talking to Ben, and selling my first print to him, I will be adding a "Prints for Sale" page on my site soon. If you see any photos you like and would like in the meantime, please contact me!
Ben has recently started his business, and sells prints on his page also - Tatrow and Sons Media. Please stop by his website and show him some love if you get a chance.
As always, thanks for reading and please let me know what you think of the photos in the comment section below! I only have a couple of photos done but many more to come!
