The colors couldn't have been any more beautiful for this shoot! Had so much fun with this family! See you soon!
It was a beautiful day for a photoshoot! I got to capture four generations, a mother's love for her daughter and a very proud Gramma and Grandpa. Hope you guys enjoy the sneak peek and I'll be in touch with the rest of your photos!
These are just some of my favorite photographs from Jess and Joe's wedding. Congrats you two! Much love! (There are two sets of the same photos here, the flash may not work on some computers, but if you have flash, scroll down to watch the slideshow.)
I have had the pleasure of working for this beautiful bride and friend for the last couple of months. I created custom invitations for her wedding. Her colors were hot pink and black and we worked together to design a logo to use throughout her wedding. She wanted two "J"'s back to back and thier last name initial, so I came up with the "logo" or "monogram" you see on all of thier items. I designed several logos and she choose the one you see on the invites. I loved how the "J"s looked like a bow!
The invitations turned out better than I could have ever have hoped for! The invitations and programs were designed with the engagment shoot photos that I took. I created a custom, removable return RSVP card on the invitation, complete with custom photo stamp! I perforated each one by hand and they turned out beautifully! I am very proud of those! In the upper left side of the photo you will see the DVD that contains thier wedding photos.
That's right, I shot my first wedding! It was an experience and I'm very greatful that Jess talked me into it, and I am also very greatful for the second shooter! Tricia, you rock!
For thier wedding gift, I gave them a canvas of a photo I took during thier engagement session that had the words of thier "song" on it. The canvas turned out beautifully and I think they really liked it. It's so nice to give something that I know no one else will give them!
I also custom designed thier thank you's which I will be sharing in a future post. I am very greatful that my friends allowed me to be a part of thier very special day! I will be sharing some of the wedding photos on here soon, but for now here are a few more photos of the invitations, programs, and DVD.
So, I have this friend that likes Coach purses. I could never understand her facisnation with them. Yes, they were nice, but in my mind, I could not justify the price. I've never paid more than twenty bucks for a purse, and most of mine have come from thrift stores. Then one day I saw and Epiphanie bag and all of a sudden my friend's love of purses made sense! A whole lotta sense! That bag right over there makes me want to whip out my wallet and click the "buy" button. I am in love with Epiphanie bags! I've been wanting one for years. But the savy, thrifty and frugel side of me screams "NO!" everytime I think about buying one. I can't justify purchasing a bag when there are so many other things I could spend my money on, like a new lens or prints, or some props. I mean I should be able to justify it since I purchased an expensive lens and I still carry it around in the original box and HOPE not to break it...I really do need a larger bag so I can safely carry all my supplies, but alas, it is just not in the cards for me right now. In the meantime I will keep entering every contest I can in the hopes that I win one. I'm entering one now hosted my Tara Swain Photography. Hopefully this will be my lucky chance to own a Lola (that is that purse's name, yes it has a name!) For the longest time I thought I wanted a black Lola with the bright pink interior, but I'm starting to fall for the teal Lola...ah decisions, decisions...I just have to win it first. Here I go jumping from A to Z, I'm pretty good at that. But if I had an Epiphanie I think the only jumping I'd do was jumping for joy!
I can't believe it's been a year and a half since I was taking this little girl's photos while she was still in her Momma's belly. She is so darn adorable and it was so difficult to leave her after the shoot. I witnessed some of her first steps, and I even enjoyed some snuggle time. Thank you Mom and Dad, for letting me share in her journey of growing up! Enjoy!
I am obsessed with Ephipanie bags and I've wanted one, oh, for about two years now. They are beautiful camera bags and I really, really want a black Lola. I enter any and every contest I can to win one, so here is my latest attempt. :)
I just realized I didn't post the whole month of March. So much for my resolution to post more this year....whoops. So I just finished up some custom hot pink and black wedding invitations for a client and a friend and I'm so beyond proud of them. They turned out fantastic. I can't post them yet because they need to get mailed out by the bride. I want to make sure everyone that gets invited to the wedding can see them first hand, so they are top secret. In the meantime, I want to share some engagement photos, that I may or may not have used on the invites. Enjoy!
I have a few ongoing projects that I've been working on and right now I've been concentrating on getting some shots of T and T Dynamite's bra straps. I've had the pleasure of working with some ladies to get shots of these bra straps. Last week's photo shoot was with Tina. Tina was such a good sport standing out in the freezing cold so I could catch some light and we had a fun time playing dress up. My next model just so happened to be one of my best friends and I could barely call photographing her "work". We had a blast and the more I'm photographing these bra straps, the more I want to own every. single. one. of. them! Thanks for modeling for me ladies. Here is a little preview!
Today I spent the day taking photos of bra straps for a friend of mine. These bra straps are so darn pretty, sparkly and shiny. They made me feel like getting all dressed up. I fought the feeling though and stayed cozy in my t-shirt! Seriously though, these straps are very pretty and she has a huge array of them. You can find some for each outfit in your wardrobe. These are some of my favorites!
I'm an open book. I can be too honest for my own good. Maybe a blog isn't the best idea for a person like me, but I can be quite entertaining at times. Plus, a blog is good for search engine rankings...lol, I'm such a nerd!
